1). What is the portal all about?

Ans: This is a regularly updated recruitment portal that hosts registration details (including the curriculum vitae) of jobseekers, provides them with authentic and current job vacancies from leading companies in Nigeria, while giving access to its extensive database of talented jobseekers to employers.

2). What are the features of the portal?

Ans: Our Portal’s unique features/services include:

Online resume form (comprehensive): once completed, your CV is automatically prepared in our standard CV format. It is in this form that employers access your CV. You can update/edit your CV whenever you want to.

Job application history: this feature allows jobseekers to view the following information about the Job – opening date; closing date; specifications, the jobs you applied for in the recent past.

Job Alerts: You are promptly informed of job vacancies that you are qualified for via email.

Interview Alerts: You are informed of interviews that you have been invited to via email.

My Profile page – contains your registration details and CV. You can update/edit the information provided whenever you want.

Subscription information – allows subscribers to receive the following via email: job alerts, short-listing alerts, interview alerts and test alerts (preliminary notice to attend our assessment centre).

3). What are the benefits to jobseekers?

Ans: As a Jobseeker, you have a wide range of benefits including:

It is absolutely FREE.
You can update/edit your registration details (CV) anytime.

Notification of jobs, interviews, presentations etc are sent out promptly to you via email.

Personalisation: You have a unique profile page (My Profile) where your registration details are stored.

Your application will be considered purely on merit and in accordance with the highest standards of professionalism and client service globally.

Your identity is protected. No application will be sent to your present employer if you already have a job.

4). How do I get to use the portal?

Ans: To enjoy the immense benefits on this portal, you have to register.

5). How do I register?

Ans: It is easy. Just follow these 2 steps:

In the Jobseekers box on the home page, click on the link, ‘click here to register’.

Complete the registration forms accurately with as much detail as possible.

6). Do I really need to complete the registration forms?

Ans: Absolutely. You cannot apply for any job on our Portal if you have not completed your registration. The information you provide helps us to prepare a standard CV for you. Employers will have access to our database of jobseekers, so the more details you provide the better the profile of you we can present to employers.

7). What happens if I forget my password?

Ans: Click on the 'forgot password' link and a dialog box opens up.

Type in the email address/user name you registered with.

A new password will be forwarded to your email address.

Log in with your new password.

8). Can I update/edit my registration details?

Ans: Absolutely. You can update /edit your details as many times as possible whenever you feel the need to.

9). I would like to update my registration details. How do I go about it?

Ans: On the home page of the Portal, type in your email address and password in the Jobseekers Log in box and click login.
Your page opens up. Click on 'My Profile' link.
The registration section comes up. On the right corner of that page are the various forms.
The forms you have completed are marked as green while those you are yet to complete are marked as red.
The » symbol is seen in front of the form you completed last. Click on the title of any of the forms marked green to update/edit that page.
The form in green below the » symbol is the form you are meant to complete next.
Scroll down to the end of page to view the entries you have inputted before. You can click 'edit' to edit a particular entry or 'remove' to delete an entry permanently.
Please note that you must complete the forms sequentially. You can repeat the same procedure as many times as possible.

10). How do I confirm that my registration is complete?

Ans: YOu will receive a mail confirming the completion of your registration process.

11). Can I change the email address I registered with?

Ans: Yes, you can change your email address to any you desire provided it has not been registered on our site previously by anyone else.

To do this, follow these steps:
• Log on to the Portal with the email address and password you registered with. Your personalised page opens up.
• Click on ‘My Profile’ located at the left hand corner of that page.
• Make any edits in the Jobseeker’s Registration form that appears.
• Click ‘save and next’.

12) Where can I upload my CV on the Portal?

Ans: CVs are not uploaded on our Portal. The Portal has a registration process for jobseekers. On completion of the various registration forms, a CV is automatically generated for the jobseeker based on the details provided by he/she. When you apply for any job on the Portal, your online CV is linked to that job. It is then used in shortlisting candidates. To register your CV, click on the ‘New User Registration, click here’ link located in the Jobseeker’s login box (top middle corner) of the Home Page.


13). What are the steps I can take if I am interested in a job vacancy?

Ans: For registered users, click on the job in question, view the job vacancy details and if you still want to apply for it, then click ‘apply for this job’ and follow the instructions.


14). I have tried to apply for a job, but I keep getting the message, ‘you have not completed your registration’ despite filling the registration forms. What do I do?

Ans: It is most likely that you have not completed every field in the registration forms. Log back in and review each form thoroughly. When you have completed all fields, your registration status bar will read 100%. If you are still unable to apply, complete the feedback form detailing the problem.

15).What is the application memo?

Ans: The application memo is like a cover letter. Completing it is optional.

16).How do i know the status of my application(s)

Ans: If and when you are shortlisted for any of the jobs you applied for, you will be be notified by email or telephone.

17). What do I do if I am asked to re-login even when I have not yet logged out of the Portal?

Ans: Each time you login, the session is timed. If there is no activity on the Portal for some time, you are asked to login again. This is done for your security on our portal. This is to prevent any alteration of your registration details if you are temporarily away from the Portal during a login session. Just log in again with your email address and password.

18) What happens to my registration details if there is power failure while I am still completing the forms?

Ans: Your registration details are stored in our database up to the page you last saved. You can log in again and continue your registration from the page you last saved.


19). How and when do you invite an applicant for a job interview?

Ans: There is no specific time frame as a lot depends on the employer. Typically, applications run for a few weeks and thereafter all applicants' CVs are screened. Shortlisted candidates are then invited for interviews via email or telephone notifications.

20). How many jobs can I apply to at the same time?

Ans: There is no limit to the number of available jobs you can apply to at the same time.

21). Can I apply for more than one position in the same company at the same time?

Ans: You can apply for more than one position in the same company simultaneously provided your professional/educational qualifications as well as experience match the job description.


22). Am I guaranteed a job?

Ans: No. However, our personalised and excellent service in crafting your registration details into our standard CV format and presenting same to employers greatly enhances your chances of getting your dream job.

23). Can I drop my CV at your office?

Ans: No, we do not accept any. The online registration form we have provided on our Portal is adequate.

24). Can I call Phillips Consulting Limited to follow up on my application?

Ans: It is not necessary to call to follow up on your application as our capable team of recruitment consultants are at work to ensure the vacancy is filled with the most suitable candidate.

25). I already have a job. How can this portal help my career development?

Ans: In today’s fast changing world, employees are looking for more challenging jobs and careers as well as better working conditions. Also, a number of jobs at senior and executive management positions are not advertised. Many employers rely on us to recruit suitably qualified candidates (a process called head hunting). When you register with our portal, we will keep you abreast of jobs that promote your career advancement.


26). How real are the job vacancies on this portal?

Ans: All jobs on our portal are from reputed firms and are vetted by our team of experienced recruitment professionals before they are posted on the portal.

27) How often are job vacancies updated on the portal?

Ans: The job list is constantly updated as soon as the vacancies are available. Only currently available jobs are posted on the portal.

28). How do I get to know of job offers promptly?

Ans: We send job alerts in the form of emails to our registered users as soon as the jobs are out, but you also need to access the portal regularly.

29). Why is there no 'Till Date' as one of the entries in the Employment Record's End Date box?

Ans: By default, 2008 is taken as’ till date'. It is assumed that you are currently employed in the organisation you entered the record against.

30). How much do I pay for the service?

Ans: It is absolutely FREE to all jobseekers. We charge employers a fee to access our extensive database of talented jobseekers.

31). Who can use the portal?

Ans: Apart from employers, all jobseekers can benefit. They could be:
